Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine started, 24 health workers have been killed and 61 more injured.

The Ministry of Health said this in a statement posted on its website, Ukrinform reports.

"In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, 24 health workers have been killed, 61 have been injured," the report reads.

 

It is noted that the last incident took place on October 2 in the de-occupied Balaklia of Kharkiv region, where an ambulance blew up after it drove over a landmine on its way to a call. As a result of the explosion, the driver died on the spot, the 21-year-old paramedic was injured and shell-shocked. He also suffers burn injuries; doctors assess his condition as stable.
